Inlays / Onlays

The Differences Between Crowns and Onlays

Inlays & Onlays are restorations that are used to rebuild a tooth that has lost a significant amount of it’s structure due to decay or trauma. They are similar to dental fillings but rather than being placed directly onto your tooth they are constructed in our dental laboratory and then cemented in place. They are made using either Porcelain, Gold or Composite Resin and are a great alternative to “fillings” where optimum aesthetics and strength are required.
