Dental Crowns

A crown is required where there is extensive loss of tooth structure, where a filling is not “strong enough” to rebuild the tooth. Generally crowns are made of porcelain, by a skilled dental technician and will look and feel like natural teeth. They are an extremely reliable technique for repairing severe dental problems. Quality crowns allow the teeth to appear as new, creating the prefect smile. With regular review and maintenance porcelain crowns can last a lifetime.

Crowns and Onlays

Two visits are needed to fit a crown. At the first visit decay is removed and the tooth is reshaped. A prototype crown is then placed. On the subsequent visit the new porcelain crown is fitted and bonded into place.
