Ballinrobe Dental is a fully computerised surgery. We utilise the latest technology including a computerised patient database, computerised digital radiography (X-Rays), airpolishers, Ti-Max LED handpieces (ultra quiet “drills”), Cavitron Ultrasonic scalers and computerised intra-oral cameras. An intra-oral camera is a very small camera, a few millimetres in size and is used to take precise pictures of your teeth and gums. This helps in diagnosis and allows us to record clear images that can be shown to you. The images can be saved on the patient’s records or can be printed for you, other specialists and for dental laboratories.

Ballinrobe Dental provides Nitrous Oxide Gas sedation for anxious patients, to further insure stress-free, comfortable dentistry.

LED Smart T.V. with wireless headphones is available in surgery for patients to view their favourite programmes and movies and enhance their comfort while we provide their dental care.

We have recently installed a Sirona XG 3D ready Panoramic O.P.G. with Cephalometrics which is the most advanced dental imaging equipment available globally.

It is a top of the range, state-of-the-art facility. This ultra modern, futuristic technology will be of great benefit to you, our patients. This technology will allow us to provide even better patient care, greater patient comfort, and more complex dental treatments such as Facial Aesthetic Treatments, Orthodontics and Dental Implants. It aids the dentist in the detection of Dental Decay, Periodontal Disease, Fractured Teeth and Bones of face, head and neck, Dental Abscess, Unerupted / Impacted teeth, Cancer of the head and neck.

Radiation exposure to our patients and staff at Β is kept under constant surveillance via the computerised dosimetry service “Instadose”, Β supplied by Medray Imaging Systems.

Happy Halloween Everyone!

A few simple tricks to help keep your teeth cavity free
πŸŽƒ Don't brush your teeth straight after enjoying your treats, wait at least 30 minutes for the mouth to recover from the acid attack caused by the sugar
πŸŽƒ Avoid sticky treats such as toffees & chewy sweets as they tend to get stuck in teeth & can damage the teeth for longer
πŸŽƒ Don't snack throughout the day on treats, try to eat them all at the same time to keep the sugar / acid attack confined & limiting the damage to your lovely smile!

Have a spooky Halloween πŸ§›β€β™‚οΈπŸ‘πŸ•·πŸ•ΈπŸŽƒ

****A good diet is important for our general health.
Did you know condiments we add to our food often contain high amounts of salt and sugar. It is a good habit to check the contents so we can reduce the use & look after our oral health & general wellbeing****
